This Jerry MacNeish Camaro Hi-Performance Certified 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 was assembled in the Norwood, Ohio assembly plant. The 1969 Camaro Z/28 is considered one of the most collectible Camaros ever produced. This Z/28 left the factory finished in one of the most elegant color combinations applied in the 1969 model year: Code 72 Hugger Orange with white stripes, a parchment vinyl top, and Code 729 white houndstooth deluxe interior, verified by MacNeish as original to the car according to the original trim plate data.
MacNeish also verified that this Z/28 retains its complete, born-with assembly line-installed driveline, including the engine, transmission, and rear differential. The DZ302 engine assembly date reads V1213DZ with a #386 block casting and a casting date of L 12 8. The rear differential is the original BV code 12-bolt, also installed new with a BV1218G2 assembly date verifying its 4:10 Positraction gear ratio, a #860NF casting number, and a casting date of L98.
This Z/28 was ordered with many options from new, including A01 tinted glass, C08 vinyl roof covering, D55 console, D88 spoiler equipment, G80 Positraction rear axle with 4.10 ratio, J52 power disc brakes, M22 heavy duty 4-speed transmission, U17 special instrumentation, U63 AM radio, U73 rear-mounted antenna, VE3 special front bumper, Z28 special engine and equipment package, Z87 deluxe interior, ZL2 special duct hood (added to car), and ZK3 deluxe seat belts.
