1957 Chevrolet 150 Utility Sedan - Awesome "Old School Cool" tribute to the early NASCAR of yester-year! Based off the entry-level 150-models, these "Black Widow" style cars have been world renowned amongst collectors of all genre's. Although the original cars were built around the iconic Fuel Injected 283-V8, this one has some updated power matched with vintage components. Recently rebuilt GM 350ci-V8 topped off with the correct Winter's aluminum intake (casting 3739659) and Carter dual-carb setup from 1957 including the very sought-after "BatWing" air cleaner. Engine also has a snappy set of "2.02" heads, Duntov cam, Corvette 2-1/2" Ram Horn exhaust manifolds with custom 2-1/2" dual exhaust, Petronix kit, MSD ignition setup and a High-Amp 12-volt alternator that resembles an original generator. This nostalgia street machine is built to hook-up and go thanks to a TH-350 automatic with stall converter and reverse manual valve-body mated to a heavy-duty Chrysler 8-3/4 rear with a spool setup and 4.11 gears. Suspension has been updated with tubular A-arms, front disc brake kit, special coil springs and custom traction-bar system in rear. Car really looks the part with an attractive Onyx Black & Imperial Ivory two-tone paint scheme, unique "Black Widow" stainless side trim, excellent chrome and flawless glass all around. Great stance thanks to a proper set of heavy-duty 14" steel wheels with correct dog dish caps and wrapped in authentic Goodyear PolyGlas blackwall tires. Interior contrasts beautifully in the correct "crackle" patterns on front seat and door panels which was specifically optioned for these cars. You will quickly notice the absence of a back seat along with heater and radio delete which mimics the proper utility sedans that Chevy ran around the vintage circle tracks. Trunk area is clean and the underside doesn't show any major signs of rust or rot issues. Previous long-term ownership by an avid Tri-Five Collector.
